Working on the Studio

I have this great studio space. It is 17.5X17.5 feet. But there was this stupid giant hot tub in the middle of it.

Had to get the hot tub out of there. What a nightmare. It took six people to lift it. And then the floor had to be rebuilt.

Got the new tile in and then had to decide how to arrange tables.

I love this space. It has huge windows on two of the walls and sliding glass doors on another. AND it has four skylights in the ceiling. I'm bathed in glorious light.

I was even able to talk them into putting in a utility sink for me. :)

I have some storage shelves and bins. I plan to install more storage for big sheets of paper and matte board under the tables.

I decided to use the big heavy table for a cutting center. I have my paper cutter and matte cutter set up. Also have some paper storage and scissors and stuff there. Hopefully will be able to get more paper storage underneath.

I bought a new table for my stamping stuff. I have the things I use most on it- and all the 'stuff' I have to plug in.

I set up my easel in the corner.

I had fun putting some random artsy stuff up on the wall over the windows.

I love this peice. It is a deer skull and antlers that a friend painted with Lumieres. LOL

Brought in another table to hold my stamps and other random stuff. I like having the tables in the middle of the room.
This way I can get to both sides. I have space on the other side to lay out projects to dry and such.

The baskets over the sink can be attached to it with hooks. Nice for rinsing stuff.
When they are on the wall they're great for drying racks for rubber stamps and brushes.

We stacked two old coffee tables for deep wide shelves to store mat board, large sheets of paper and my portfolios.

The coffee table shelves are next to the cutting table.
I like having a high surface like this for some things.

It's starting to get messy in here already. LOL Looks like a real studio now- cramped, overcrowded, and disorganized.
